| Sanders started training when he was 16, beginning his pro boxing career at the age of 23. Shortly after he started boxing, a friend got him interested in MMA, which is what led him to winning the Extreme Challenge Welterweight Championship. Before joining the UFC, Sanders worked in construction and now is employed by a steel plant. In amateur competitions he has won the golden gloves championship as well as being a two-time winner of the Toughman Championship in pro competitions. |
